Kimberlee Okay girls..... It's game time! We are already champions. I know our stories - and they are stories of personal victory, mastery, endurance, perserverance, forgiveness, love, compassion, joy and sorrow, engery and fatigue, loss, and of growth. We have all, already demonstrated that we are champions in how we live our lives, and I am so proud to be associated with each of you. It's time to step it up a notch....time to really give our personal best. It's time to dig in. We've been talking a lot about dreams -- figuring out what it is that you want for yourself and your family. We've been getting ready for game-time as we develop our 'game skills' -- booking, coaching, selling and recruiting. But I believe we know how to play the game....but what we need is the commitment and follow-thru to dig in, not quit and give ourselves our best. (pause the music, and now, watch the clip below....) It's time to push thru the "it hurts" and the "it burns" of fear, procrastination, lack of belief, broken promises, no-shows, cancellations and nay-sayers. What's not okay, is to say we want something, and then not back it up with the work to create it. Does that mean that you will always succeed? - No.... but you will ALWAYS PERSIST TIL YOU SUCCEED!!! It is not given to us to know which corner we turn that will lead to our success...but you have to know that Og Mandino was right...where the dry desert ends,  green grows grows; and if you persist -- you WILL most assuredly SUCCEED! I spent a couple of months in the beginning trying to reinvent the wheel and be overly creative in my industry, with poor results. But the moment I decided to just follow the steps that were outlined by other successful people, things started happening at a very fast pace.
- Dream big. I kept my eyes locked on the life I wanted to create. Without that crystal-clear picture of my dream, I never would have mustered the courage to step out of my comfort zone and do what was required to get the job done.
- Care enough to prepare. I was missing some skills that I needed to master, and I had to get over my reluctance to sell by learning to view it differently. I had to step it way up in both my technical skills (specific to my business and industry) and my life skills. I had to stop whining and start working. I quickly discovered that women who "wing it" do not last long in today's market.
- Work the numbers. Success in business isn't magical--it's mathematical. When you learn to work the numbers, it takes emotion out of the equation. And when you gain control of your emotions, you can gain control of your income. I had to learn what the numbers game looked like in this new arena. I had to figure out the averages I could count on and how much volume I would need to generate the results I wanted. Every business has averages, so I had to learn mine in order to play by the numbers and work to improve them.
- Never say die. If quitting had been an option for me, there were many days in the beginning where I would have thrown in the towel. I got exhausted, discouraged and frustrated like everyone else. But because I had made a vow to myself not to give up, my only option was to continue tweaking my approach and repositioning myself for success.
- Put your blinders on. I never once stopped to look around. I kept my eye on the prize and didn't stop until I got there. Distractions proved lethal to many of the other women who were getting started in business at the same time I was, and I did everything I could to avoid them. Blinders are also what got us out of debt so quickly. As the checks got bigger and bigger during that first year, we continued to live on our same small budget. We didn't expand our lifestyle until the debt was gone. Ask me how much better my husband and I get along without $30,000 between us."
